On Wednesday 18th May 2011, Mimu attended an event at The Walker's Stadium in Leicester. A charity lunch attended by over 700 ladies to raise vital funds for the LOROS hospice in Leicester. The guest speaker was none other than politician Ann Widdecombe, most recently known for her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing. Her speech was witty and she also opened up questions to the audience, all gaining a fabulous reception. She was also selling and signing her novels throughout the day, and all profits from the sales went to LOROS.

At the end of the event she popped to our stand as a bright pink bag had caught her eye, and when she discovered that it was reversible she promptly decided to have it, also donating an extra £5 to LOROS. A very successful event and best of all we sold a bag to Ann Widdecombe!
